My AI focused start-up client is looking for an experienced Principal/Staff Engineer to join their growing team in Boston!
Responsibilities:
- Passionate and enthusiastic Senior backend engineer who understands AI systems.
- Work closely with the engineering team, working on early product development, including designing and implementing a foundational new platform.
- Balance trade-offs for performance and usability for our initial customers. We want our platform to be easy to use, and for customers to get results fast.
- Collaborate with external researchers, design partners, and early customers.
- Solid stakeholder communication.
- Lead and coach junior engineers and help them upskill in the backend space.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of full-time industry experience building and operating production systems with Python.
- Experience in modern cloud using tools like Terraform, CI / CD, etc.
- Experience with frameworks like Django, Flask or FastAPI.
- Solid public Cloud experience ideally in AWS.
- You’re a self-starter who is comfortable with ambiguity and open-ended technical challenges
- Experience leading and growing small engineering teams with a particular focus on Backend Development.
- You can balance building high quality, secure software with prioritizing company goals
