Essential Skills for Front-End Development: Sitecore XM Cloud Expertise:
- In-depth understanding of Sitecore XM Cloud's architecture, including its SaaS-based nature, composable architecture, and various deployment models.
- Experience in utilizing Sitecore Pages and the Experience Manager within the XM Cloud environment.
- Proficiency in the content delivery capabilities of XM Cloud and its seamless integration with front-end frameworks, such as Next.js.
- Expertise in developing and deploying applications within the XM Cloud ecosystem, with a focus on security and scalability considerations.
- Proven experience in developing and deploying Next.js applications integrated with Sitecore XM Cloud using Sitecore JavaScript Services (JSS).
- Advanced knowledge of rendering Sitecore content within a Next.js application using JSS, and familiarity with both server-side rendering (SSR) and client-side rendering (CSR) for optimal performance and SEO.
- Strong expertise in implementing Incremental Static Generation (ISG) and Sitecore’s preview functionality.
- Deep understanding of best practices in structuring and organizing Next.js projects that consume Sitecore content.
- Hands-on experience with scaling and deploying both Next.js and Sitecore JSS applications effectively.
- Familiarity with the concept and advantages of micro-frontends.
- Experience in utilizing techniques such as module federation and single-spa to build and compose micro-frontends.
- Knowledge of integrating micro-frontends with Sitecore and Next.js for cohesive and scalable application architecture.
- Expertise in designing and implementing micro-frontend architectures in alignment with best practices.
- Strong foundation in core web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, complemented by expertise in modern JavaScript frameworks like React and Next.js.
- Experience working with various JavaScript frameworks, including React, Vue, and Angular.
- In-depth understanding of responsive design principles and ensuring cross-browser compatibility for diverse user environments.
- Strong command of web accessibility principles, particularly the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).
- Proficiency in using semantic HTML to create accessible content structures, along with knowledge of ARIA attributes to enhance the accessibility of interactive elements.
- Practical experience in ensuring keyboard navigation and screen reader compatibility across web applications.
- Competence in using accessibility testing tools and techniques to ensure compliance with accessibility standards.
- Awareness of accessibility considerations for a range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, cognitive, and motor impairments.
- Expertise in using Git for effective source code management, ensuring streamlined version control and collaboration.
- Solid understanding of containerization concepts, including the advantages of using Docker for building, deploying, and managing containerized applications.
- Practical experience in using Docker Compose for orchestrating multi-container applications.
- Familiarity with container registries, such as Docker Hub, for efficient management and distribution of containerized applications.
- Fluency in English, with proficiency in either French or Dutch, both in written and spoken communication.
- Experience working with Sitecore Experience Accelerator (SXA).
- Knowledge of Sitecore Content Hub and Sitecore Experience Platform (XP), and their integration with Sitecore XM Cloud.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools related to Sitecore deployment processes.
- Experience working with cloud platforms like Azure or AWS for hosting and managing Sitecore-based solutions.
- Understanding of Sitecore search and indexing features, and their application in content management.
- Familiarity with testing frameworks specifically designed for Sitecore and Next.js applications.
- Experience in migrating existing Sitecore solutions to the XM Cloud platform.
- Knowledge of Sitecore Connect for XM Cloud and its integration with third-party services.
- Familiarity with performance optimization techniques specifically for Sitecore XM Cloud-based solutions.
- Awareness of accessibility best practices as applied to modern frameworks like React and Next.js.
- Experience implementing accessible design patterns across various platforms.
- Understanding of international accessibility standards and regulations to ensure compliance.
- Experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration and management of containerized applications.
- Knowledge of advanced Content Delivery Network (CDN) features such as edge computing and enhanced security measures.
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills, with a capacity to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues effectively.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to collaborate efficiently in cross-functional teams.
