My client, a leading Fortune 500 company in the manufacturing space, is looking to hire a new member for their Senior Leadership team in their Global Audit Function!
The role involves someone who is ready to step up to more of a strategic position, where you will be overseeing and advising the growing Audit team in Atlanta. You will have 3-6 direct reports, consisting of Assistant Managers and Seniors.

The Purpose of the Internal Audit Manager role is to ensure audit assignments are successful, run smoothly and result in minimizing risk. The IA Manager leads the audit team on assignment and manages team members’ performance to deliver on short- and long-term objectives by creating an engaged team, a work environment that promotes trust and mutual respect and maximizing team members’ potential.

- Deliver and manage assigned elements (planned and ad hoc) of the function’s agenda to ensure objectives are achieved within the required timeframes
- Manage the delivery of support, advisory and assurance services to the business to ensure the development of a robust control framework across all aspects of the organisation
- Manage the scheduling and deployment of talent across the organisation to achieve the annual work plan
- Facilitate training sessions as required to support the understanding of SOX requirements
- Utilise and develop Data Analytic techniques for audit testing.
- Be responsible for all people management-related activities
What you will need to have:
- 5+years experience PQE at an Audit Manager level or above
- Significant leadership experience, either in industry or professional services.
- Advanced understanding and working knowledge of risk, corporate governance, compliance (SOX) and internal control requirements/ good practice
- Experience building partnerships with key internal and external stakeholders and promote the function as a trusted partner to meet shared objectives.
- Experience in creating new and better ways for the organization to be successful - creating a climate where people are motivated to do their best to help the organization achieve its objectives
