My client is seeking a motivated and skilled Data Analyst to join the Internal Audit team in Dublin. This role is primarily focused on Data Analysis, Data Engineering, and Data Storytelling. The successful candidate will be joining a development team within the Internal Audit Department that manage all stages of the development process to create imaginative and engaging solutions that answer key business questions. They will play a crucial role in handling and manipulating data (financial and other data), collaborating with our various stakeholders to create insightful reports, automating audit processes, and bringing a fresh perspective to the team and department.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement ETL pipelines, APIs, Python, SQL Server and Alteryx scripts, and dashboards.
• Collaborate with audit teams to help drive process improvements by understanding and automating audit processes.
• Translate business requirements into delivered solutions.
• Perform peer reviews of team members' work.
• Maintain and update documentation of workflows, processes, and pipeline designs.
Candidate Background & Knowledge:
• Bachelor’s/master’s degree in computer science, data science or similar fields.
• At least four years professional work experience in similar roles (primarily financial data).
• Data Analytics, Data Engineering, and Data Storytelling skills.
• Experience in SQL and Python/R is essential.
• Proficiency in designing and developing ETL pipelines.
• Solid experience with data visualization and reporting (Power BI, etc.).
• Microsoft 365 stack and DevOps.
• Big Data/Cloud, API, SAP HANA, and AI/Machine Learning experience is desirable.
Candidate Profile:
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Passionate about accuracy and data integrity.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent presentation and storytelling skills, making complex data more navigable and bringing insights to the fore.
• Open to exploring new approaches and challenging existing processes for greater efficiency.
• Friendly and willing to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Eager to learn and improve continuously.
• Fluency in English essential, and Spanish or another second language is desirable.
