- Operate in an advisory and consulting capacity with minimal supervision, including tracking management's progress on remediation efforts.
- Analyse and interpret essential data to support a risk-based strategy for establishing and sustaining a robust internal control environment.
- Participate in initiatives aimed at improving departmental processes.
- Occasionally lead specific reviews and investigations of unusual events independently, including project planning, conducting interviews, performing tasks with minimal oversight, and timely drafting of reports and conclusion
Requirements
- Fluency in English and French, with proficiency in additional languages being advantageous but not essential for the role.
- A minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience in either a big 4 or in industry
- Familiarity with generally accepted accounting principles, relevant regulations, applicable laws, and best practices to create comprehensive documentation for audit procedures.
- Proven experience in planning and executing audit procedures and risk assessments, with the flexibility to quickly adapt priorities and manage multiple tasks and topics concurrently.
- Willingness to travel to various locations as required, potentially up to 40% of the time.
